I have been in ministry for the past 22 years, serving as a pastor in Texas and Wisconsin. Prior to my current role as the Lead Pastor at Spring Creek Church, I was a worship leader, a college pastor, a communications pastor, and a teaching pastor. I am passionate about communicating God’s Word clearly and accurately to anybody who will listen. My goal is always to preach in a way that leads men and women closer to Jesus Christ.

I received my Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2004, and my Doctor of Ministry in 2025. I co-authored the Ordinary Greatness Bible study series (NavPress, 2012). I have written articles for Relevant, Bible Study Magazine and bible.org. I also write a monthly religion column for The Bryan-College Station Eagle.

I have been married to Shannon since 2000, and we have three great kids.
